Leading minor car body repair specialist – ChipsAway, is delighted to announce the development of a sister company, which will see it break into the takeaway food market with a mobile fish and chip shop service!
Talking about their exciting new venture, Managing Director of ChipsAway, Tim Harris comments: “Ever since we launched ChipsAway in the UK, almost 25 years ago now, customers have joked about us being something to do with ‘fish and chips’, so we thought why not!? We even had the following review through a few weeks ago, which made us laugh, but just goes to prove the point: “Not their fault, but I thought this would be a chip shop, in honesty I was a little drunk but what do you expect the name has chips in it! Their car body repair is probably brilliant though.” “Seriously though, with the takeaway food market predicted to grow by 13% over the next 5 years, we have thoroughly analysed the online search traffic, as well as conducting extensive quantitative research, and believe there is a strong demand for a mobile fish and chip service nationally. We have adapted our current ChipsAway van to include a serving hatch, as well as all the necessary cooking equipment, and it works perfectly!”
Having trialled the concept with several of their existing car repair specialists, with fantastic results, ChipsAway will be officially launching the new franchise opportunity as of 1st April 2018.
ChipsAway network member Luke Hall, who took part in the trial activity, comments: “Our customers loved the idea, as well as the food, and couldn’t believe it hadn’t been thought of before! We will certainly be continuing to offer the mobile fish and chip service alongside our car body repair work and look forward to growing both businesses locally going forward!”
ChipsAway are the UK’s leading providers of car body repairs, fixing damage such as bumper scuffs, paintwork scratches and minor dents, at an affordable price and a location convenient to the customer.
